St. John Neumann

All School Mass

I John 3: 11-21

John 1:43-51

To help with the homily, I need one volunteer from each class, K-8th? Here are the instructions on what I want you to do. I want you to go and tell as many of the High School students from West Catholic why you love St. Patrick’s School? So before you go, think of why you like St. Patrick’s school and be ready to give your reason. Ok, go!

In our Gospel Jesus comes to Philip and says, “Follow me,” and Philip does. Philip is so impressed with his encountering Jesus he has to go and tell someone else, so he goes and tells his good friend Nathanael and he tells him “Come and see.”

When we have awesome things happen to us, we want to tell others what happened. The early disciples experienced Jesus in such an awesome way they had to tell others, and we are here 2000 years later because of what they experienced.

We can experience Jesus Christ here at St. Patrick’s, at West Catholic and most importantly in this Eucharist. Our lives are changed because of Jesus, and we have to go and tell others all the wonderful things God is doing in our lives.

May we experience Jesus Christ in a very powerful way and have our lives changed?
