Tuesday of the Tenth Week of Ordinary Time
II Corinthians 1:18-22
Yes. No. Maybe. Let me think about it. I wouldn’t say I like that idea. These are all very common responses to things people might ask of us. However, when it comes to answering Jesus Christ of what he asks of us, there is only one answer, and that is, “Yes, Lord, I will do whatever you ask of me.”
Unfortunately, in my own life, there has been a lot more, “I do not like that idea” hen “Yes, Lord, I will do whatever you ask of me.”
In our first reading, St. Paul said “Yes” to visit the Corinthians on his return from Macedonia, but he did not. Paul later changed his mind, and the people are questioning his integrity. This what we do not want to do!
In our Gospel, we hear what happens to us when we say “Yes” to the Lord. When we say “Yes” to the Lord, He will add zest to our lives. When we say “Yes” to the Lord, he will light us to those we will meet.
May we say “Yes” to the Lord and know of his many blessings!
